．如使用沾水筆書寫時，可將墨水與阿拉伯膠混和，增加墨水濃竭度，就能更容易控制墨水量，亦能減少墨水化開的情況

When you mix the Gum Arabic with watercolour paint, you can have the below effects.

Another two uses:

．Preserves an area of paper that you want to leave white when using watercolour. Gum Arabic leaves a softer edge to the white area while Masking Fluid leaves a clean, hard edge.

．When writing calligraphy with a dip pen, sometimes the ink is too thin. When you mix the ink with Gum Arabic, it will thicken the ink and reduce bleeding on paper.
